Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from MTV's Jersey Shore

Ronnie Magro
(Birthday - December 4, 1985 in Bronx, NY) is the "gorilla juicehead" boyfriend of Sammi on MTV's Jersey Shore - Ronnie is Ripped! He is not a professional bodybuilder but this guy is huge and he eats and drinks like a frat boy.  So I think he is a case worth studying for what its worth.
Ronnie eats plenty of protein and is regularly barbecuing skinless chicken breasts and lean steaks with the other guys from Jersey Shore.  Although we often see him consuming copius amounts of alcohol on the show there is obviously some serious effort being put forth in the gym because Ronnie Magro is shredded.

Unlike most of his castmates, Ronnie’s meals are regulated, and he has a defined diet plan. He limits his calories for 4 meals to 2,400 calories. The rest of his daily caloric intakes are reserved for the rest of the night. I would like to remind you why alcohol is bad for athletes.

Ronnie does take a few supplements and uses Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein Gold standard. Ronnie knows that he needs to get enough protein and carbs if he wants to get big especially after a night of drinking. He also is the spokesperson for Xenadrine which is a diet pill.  I'm guessing that he actually takes the pill because he says it gives him an energy boost. This might help him burn extra calories due to his endomorph body type that tends to hold on to more body fat which is stubborn especially belly fat.

His routine uses low reps with heavy weights.   He focuses on compound lifts like squat and dead-lift in order to work his major muscle groups. By focusing on compound lifts you are working your major muscle groups like quads, chest and back. This will give you the best results.

They key to getting ripped is loss of body fat in increase in muscle.  So whatever you can do that makes that happen is the best routine for you.  If you are like most people then you will need to try new routines and record the differences in your bodybuilding journal to get a clear and accurate measure of your success. Take measurements before starting a new routine or change in diet.  Try this bodybuilding routine and see if it works for you.
