5 Tips to Gain Muscle Mass Fast

Most people go about building muscle mass the wrong way. They follow all of the old traditional ideas about how you are supposed to work out. The problem with all of these old traditional ideas is that they were all come up with before anyone knew anything about how the body works. Using old traditional methods for trying to build muscle mass is sort of like using medieval medicine. To gain muscle mass, there is much more than just hitting the gym regularly. Here are some muscle mass gaining tips.

    1) Eat a lot of good food

To build muscles, you must eat; who doesn't love eating? In order to gain weight, you must take in more calories than you burn. If you expend all the calories you have eaten, then where are the calories to build muscles?  Its time to start reading labels and taking control of what you consume.  Most of your calories should come from lean protein. You should eat at least one gram of protein per pound of your body weight everyday if you want to gain muscle mass fast. If you don't get enough protein, your muscles won't grow big. If you cannot have adequate protein from your normal meals, supplement with protein shakes. This site claims to give you the "truth about protein". There's definitely some interesting points if you want to check it out. And, if you want more strength so that you can lift heavier weights to grow bigger muscles, take a Creatine supplement.
Quitting smoking is a must.  You would have to be living under a rock to not know why smoking is bad for you.  Let me remind you that smoking accounts for 1 out of every 5 deaths worldwide.  Quitting is hard and I know this personally because I smoked for almost 10 years.  I finally stopped with some good old will power and Nicorette gum.  E-cigarettes are an option but chewing tobacco is not.  Chew causes mouth cancer and we don't want nasty cancer to ruin our quest for a ripped physique do we?  Drinking in moderation is OK.  If you are really intending to compete and go all the way with bodybuilding then I suggest no drinking at all but for normal dudes just keep it down to a minimum.  No all night benders with the guys.  Alcohol robs your body of nutrients, dehydrates you, contains empty carbohydrate calories, messes with circulation and your ability to rest. Long story short alcohol and drinking is unhealthy and will slow down your results big time.

3)Weight Training - You must lift with heavy weights and to add on more weight consistently to progressively build your muscles. But it is very important not to sacrifice correct lifting techniques and form for the sake of lifting heavier. Lift free weights; use free weights like dumbbells and barbells to recruit more muscle fibers so that more muscle fibers can be worked on. Free weights are better than machines because they provide an instability that is corrected using more of your muscles for a more varied workout.
4)Compound Exercises - Work with compound exercises like bench presses, squats, barbell rows, chin ups and dead lifts to build big muscle mass. If you concentrate on working your puny muscles like your biceps, then you will only have puny muscle growth.

5)Get Enough Rest - Have rest days in between your workout days and do not work the same muscle group more than twice a week. Your muscles need to recover from your workouts in order to grow big. Sleep at least 8 hours a day or more. Your muscles grow when you sleep.
